Falling Apart

This past weekend, I fell apart.  Just the emotions of Easter Sunday with Dad’s passing so fresh in my mind, I just fell apart.

When the music, the Easter Message and the drama reminded me of what our Lord and Savior did for us on the Cross… I fell apart.

Ever feel like everything around you is falling apart? With the world’s economy, our personal finances, our jobs, our relationships the way is, it’s easy to say that it feels like things are just crumbling around us.

However, God’s word tells us in Colossians 1:15-17 that “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For by Him all things were created:  things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him.  He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Ever heard of “Laminin”?
Wikipedia describes Laminin as “… a family of proteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue.”  So, in layman’s terms, Laminin is what holds us together.  They are cell adhesion molecules. They are what hold one cell of our bodies to the next cell.  Without them, we would literally fall apart.

But here is the cool part.  The picture above is a microscopic picture of Laminin.  Now tell me that our God is not the coolest!!  The glue that holds us together is in the shape of the cross!

My Pastor preached a sermon not too long ago and he said that an artist puts his signature on his masterpiece to show that the art work is his masterpiece.  Look how God put His signature on HIS masterpiece!

So, when you feel like things are falling apart all around you and you feel that you are alone.  Remember, you are God's master piece and you are being held together by Him.
